Should one Expect a Reward When Doing a Good Deed
When it comes to whether or not one should expect a reward after doing a good deed, some people believe that good deeds deserve acknowledgement. They argue that without certain reward, those who have done good deeds may feel discouraged to continue their behavior. Thus, they should get rewards as an acknowledgement.
However, this view is now being questioned by more and more people. They hold the belief that doing good deeds is an indispensable part of the human virtues. We all know that Lei Feng was always ready to help others without ever asking for any reward. We should learn from him, and bring home to people the value of doing good deeds.
As for me, I believe that we should spare no effort to do good deeds without asking for anything in return. If we all pitch in for the same end unsel?shly,
the world will be full of love and appreciation.

How to Relieve Pressure
Nowadays, college students are faced with increasing pressure from various aspects. Some have dif?culty in their study, while some suffer from ?nancial pressure. Others ?nd it hard to ?nd a desirable job.
Just like most college students, I also have lots of pressure in my life. My first pressure comes from my study. Although I study very hard, I still cannot learn maths very well and always get a very low mark, which really annoys me. In addition, because my parents couldn't afford my tuition fees, I have to do some part- time jobs to relieve my parents' ?nancial burden.
In order to relieve my pressure, I have developed an optimistic attitude towards my life, telling myself “Tomorrow will be a brighter day and everything will
be ?ne”. In this way, I can enjoy my life even under pressure.

Private Cars
Too many cars have created a lot of serious problems. Besides congestion, accidents and fast fuel consumption, cars are responsible for a great part of air pollution in big cities. All the time, they are releasing huge amounts of waste gases into the atmosphere. The gases are very harmful, causing diseases and even death. One possible solution is to design and develop clean air and clean fuels. In Shanghai, some of the public buses begin to run on natural gas, which does not give off as much carbon dioxide as the petrol. But it may take decades for the new models of clean carsto completely replace the traditional ones.
Another solution is to develop modern public transportation systems and restrict the use of private cars. If the price of petrol rises constantly and the public vehicles are efficient and convenient enough, most people will not buy private cars. And the total of cars in big cities will remain under control.
