v. (突然或猛烈地)撕破，扯开;突然拉开，扯掉，剥去;(使)撕裂，(使)划破

n. (织物、纸张等)撕开的大口子，裂缝

辨：rip和tear

tear意为“撕掉，撕破”，普通用词，指有意或无意地把布或纸等撕开。例：I tore my dress on a nail.(我的裙子被钉子划破了。)
