【参考译文】Critical thinking ability does not refer to subject knowledge, but is a type of thinking ability that applies to all subjects and is also referred to as transferable ability. This ability is related to formal logic and informal logic as well as statistical inference. If critical thinking is more about “how to think” as an ability, then critical thinking as a way of thinking is more about “what to think” and “asking why”.
It is important in critical thinking to ask questions that others have not thought of, ask questions that others have not asked, and to dig to the root and explore deeper, underlying causes. In critical thinking education, it is natural and necessary to start with the ability level. However, this is not all. Critical thinking education should not only improve students’ thinking abilities, but also shape their values and attitudes towards life.
