【参考译文】The word “winner” and the word “loser” both have many different meanings. When we think of someone as a winner, it does not mean that he or she makes others lose something. In our view, a winner, whether as an individual or as part of a community, responds to everything with reliability, integrity, empathy and honesty.
Winners are not afraid to think independently and to use their own knowledge. They are able to distinguish between facts and ideas without pretending to know everything. They listen to others and evaluate what they say in order to draw their own conclusions. While winners are able to admire and respect others, they are not limited, hurt, bound or intimidated by them. Winners are concerned about the world and the people in it.
Winners do not stand aside and ignore widespread social problems; they are concerned and passionate about them and are committed to improving the quality of the living word. Even in the face of national or even global disasters, winners do not appear powerless.
