As one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, Mandarin Chinese has a massive impact on our globalised society. Many consider Chinese to be the language of the future, often touting it as the tongue that will someday overtake English. Mandarin has managed to become a global language all the while hailing from a nation where it is only one of many different dialects spoken.

中秋节大约在唐朝成为全国官方认可的节假日。在唐朝时期，中秋之风俗开始盛行，赏月的习俗，伴随着神话故事，比如嫦娥奔月与杨贵妃变月神的故事，口口相诵。中秋节是所有家庭年年团聚之期，中秋之夜是赏月、吃月饼之时。
